Diversion
allows appropriate offenders to plead guilty to the charges, which
they were indicted on, and be placed into a quasi-probationary period
of a specific time tailored to the offender. After successful completion
of this time period, the Indictment is dismissed, thus eliminating
the offender from having a felony or misdemeanor conviction on their
record. Failure to successfully complete the Diversion Program results
in the prosecution of the offender
