| The
Hancock County Prosecutor's office is legal council to all elected
officials as well as other County entities. They include 26 County
offices, 17 Townships, and 8 School Districts. The Civil Division
of the Hancock County Prosecutor's Office is responsible for giving
legal advice as to contract reviewing, resolution writing, document
interpreting, labor matters and numerous other legal aspects that
are necessary to support the county department and various other Hancock
County political entities. |

The
civil division responsibilities require attendance at a variety
of board meetings, often times held in the evening. Much of the
civil division assistant's responsibilities consist of assisting
with the administrative aspects of County and Township government.
