The
Hancock County Prosecutor is responsible for a wide range of legal
functions for the County, including:
- act
as the chief law enforcement official in the County
- review,
authorize and prosecute violations of felony and misdemeanor criminal
laws of the State of Ohio committed inside the County
- authorize
and prosecute felony & misdemeanor juvenile delinquency offenses
- represent
and advise the board of county commissioners, board of elections
and all other county officers and boards
- president
of the county board of trustees
- member
of the county budget commission
- protection
and recovery back of public funds and property
- protection
of county against illegal or fraudulent contracts
