Cathy Prosser Wilcox has been with the Hancock County Clerk of Courts office since 1987. Cathy has served as Clerk of Courts since January of 1998.

I want to welcome you to the Hancock County Clerk of Courts' website. I am pleased to provide this website as a public service to our community.

On this site you can find information pertaining to the Clerk of Courts - Legal Department and Title Department. You can also find information on obtaining U.S. Passports and becoming a Notary Public. You will also find various printable forms.

We have attempted to answer many of the questions that are important to the citizens of the County, the users of the Courts and patrons of the Title Department. I hope you find the site beneficial. If you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free to contact us.

E-filing Notice

Effective January 1, 2026 all attorneys must use the Hancock County Clerk of Courts electronic filing system (e-filing). The Clerk of Courts will no longer accept paper filings or fax filings from any attorney.
