Statement on COVID-19
We are very aware of concerns regarding COVID-19 and how Hancock County Probate and Juvenile Court is handling this situation. The Court will continue operating throughout this crisis. Keeping in mind that social distancing is recommended, our facilities make that impossible to maintain with the typical number of cases scheduled. To that end, we are continuing a number of hearings. If you have a case scheduled to occur in the next three weeks, I urge you to contact your attorney, or if you do not have an attorney, contact the Court prior to the hearing to make sure it is still happening. You can reach us at (419)424-7066.
Regardless of whether or not your hearing is continued, we will work to adjust as information changes. This situation has undoubtedly stressed families. If you are able, please take a moment to check on your neighbors especially the elderly and children who may have lost supports that they counted on for their safety and well-being. My thoughts and prayers and those of all of my staff are with you and your families during this very trying time.
